Apple time in See Canyon
We are in the middle of great apple season in Avila Beach. I just love the apples this time of year so I decided to visit Gopher Glen in See Canyon.
Gopher Glen Apple Farm in Avila
Getting to the See Canyon makes for a really enjoyable bike ride from downtown Avila. It’s just around 10 miles from my office front door to Gopher Glen, round trip. I rode 1.51 miles to Woodstone off the Bob Jones. Getting off the trail and onto San Luis Bay Drive for .04 miles, begin traveling up See Canyon (2.8 miles to Gopher Glen) ‘till you find your apple farm choice or to just relax. You’ll surely find a lot of apples to pick and choose from.
On my ride to Gopher Glen, I ended up purchasing apples, ice cream, and veggies as everything looked delectably good! With what had to be over a dozen varieties of apples to sample, I was able to treat myself to tart and sweet-tasting apples for a snack. My personal supply of crispy and delicious apples should last me about another week. Apple season normally runs into December, which means we can get fresh apples for a couple more precious months.
